Note: This is for all the new people for IRC Note: All these commands are to be entered on IRC only. Register Nickname This is register your nickname, on your desired nickname type: Syntax: /ns register Password Password Email Email Register Your Desired Channel To register your very own chat room type: /join #Channel and after you have joined your desired channel type: /cs register #Channel Password Description Access: To add access: /cs access #Channel add nick level To delete access: /cs access #Channel del Nick To view the list of access in a channel type: /cs access #Channel list Access Levels: 0-1 = Normal User, 2-3 = Voice, 4 = Half Operator, 5-9 = Channel Operator, 10-9999 = AdminOperator Signs: (+v) Voice (%h) Halfop (@o) Operator Modes: +v = Voice, +h = Halfop, +o = Operator, +ao = AdminOP, +qo = Owner(Founder) To give someone a temp rank, /mode #Channel +MODE UserName Akick: Akick stands for: AutoKick which means when the desired nick has been akicked when ever they join they will be auto kick banned, make sure you delete they're access after they are on the akick list or they could delete their self from akick Adding a user to akick: /cs akick #Channel add Nick Reason Deleting from akick: /cs akick #Channel del Nick Akick list: /cs akick #Channel view Owner Only: /cs levels #Channel dis akick If you akick yourself make sure you do /cs akick #Channel del YourOwnNickName Mlocking: Mlocking means ModeLocking so people cannot unset modes Syntax: /cs set #Channel mlock +ModesWanted To unset mlock /cs set #Channel mlock +nrt then /cs clear #Channel modes You want to mlock +nt for security when you mlock and unset Note: for all modes please type /helpop CHMODES Secureops: Secureops make it so when you do /mode #Channel +o (or +h) NickName it will go back to -h or -o it wont stay and the Syntax to undo that is: /cs set #Channel secureops off On: /cs set #Channel secureops on Some reasons for turning on: make your channel safe your other ops cannot give ops to other people, but i recommend to just add access not temp ops. Auto On Join: What i mean by this is on join everyone will get +o +v +h or what ever, now with this you have got to be careful with +o or +h and +ao etc you probly would want to mlock +Qnt because +Q means no kicks and disable akick, but dont worry for autovoice: Command bellow /cs levels #Channels set autoMODE -1 autoMODE: MODES, voice, op, voice, halfop Good Luck. Banning: Banning with a service bot: !kb NickName Reason /cs ban #Channel Nickname Reason /mode #Channel +b Nick/Host Mute Someone: /mode #Channel +b ~q:NickName Banning a channel from their users joining urs: /mode #Channel +b ~c:#Channel Banning Someone from chaning their nick: /mode #Channel +b ~n:TheirNickname Linking A Channel: /cs set #Channel1 mlock +ntlL 1 #Channel2 You would replace #Channel1 with your current channel and #Channel2 with the one you want it to link to. Turning Off Sensor This will tell you how to turn off censor eg: links, swear words eg: ********** Use: /mode YourName -f Flooding Control: Joining control: +j 2:10 That would allow each user to /hop 2 times in 10 seconds For flood control (in lines spamming etc) /bs kick #Channel flood on Times-Till-Ban Lines Seconds Eg /bs kick #IRCHelp flood on 3 10 5 That would kick you if you did 10 lines in 5 seconds and on the 3rd kick it would ban you Memo: to send a memo: /ms send Nick Message to send a memo to a channel /ms send #Channel Message to read a memo : /msg MemoServ READ 1 to delete a memo: /msg MemoServ DEL 1 Grouping & Dropping To group a nick: /ns group MainNickName Password you need to be on your nick you want to group to drop a nick: /ns drop Nick Ghosting: /ns group NickName Password /ns ghost user pass Logout: /ns logout Expire Nicks will expire after 60 days Show Grouped Nicks /ns glist Away Status: /away Reason Passwords: Change NickName Password: /ns set password NewPassword Id a channel: /cs id #Channel Password Change Channel Password: /cs set #Channel Password NewPassword Identify for a nickname: /ns id Password another one Frequently Asked Questions 1. How do I register a channel? Answer: To register a channel you will need to first join the channel you are wanting to register by /join #channel and then /cs register #channel password description 2. How do I register a nickname? Answer: To register a nickname first get on the desired nickname you want to register. You can do this by /nick nickhere Then you type /ns register password email@address.com Find the confirmation code in your email and type /ns confirm code 3. How do I give someone access? Answer: The levels are 3 for voice, 4 for halfoperator, 5-9 for operator, and 10-9999 for administrator. Then type /cs access #channel add nick level to add them to the list. 4. How do I ban someone? Answer: To ban someone from your channel you can do it many ways. Answer: To get a users hostmask first you type /whois nick and look in your status tab and the first line will say ~Sean@SeanM.support.SwiftIRC.net The part after the @ is the hostmask. 6. How do I akick a user? Answer: You can akick a user by using /cs akick #channel add nick/hostmask reason 7. How come every time I try to op someone ChanServ deops them automatically? Answer: Secureops makes it to where a user has to be added on the access to be oped or halfop. You can turn this off by /cs set #channel secureops off 8. How do I get a Bot in my channel? Answer: You can get a services bot by first typing /bs botlist Then select a name that you want from the list then type /bs assign #channel botname 9. How do I switch servers? Answer: To switch servers you can type /server servername:port to switch to a new server. 10. How do I set a greet? Answer: To set a greet for you type /ns set greet greethere 11. How do I make my topic to where it cannot be changed? Answer: To lock your topic from being changed you can type /cs set #channel topiclock on 12. How do I make Chanserv send a message to users when they join my channel? Answer: To have a entry message for a channel type /cs set #channel entrymsg message 13. How do I get someone off my nick? Answer: To get someone off your registered nick type /ns recover nick pass then type /ns release nick pass 14. How do I check my access list? Answer: To check your access list type /ns alist nick 15. Can I get a vhost? Answer: Vhosts are no longer being given out so you can no longer get a vhost. 16. How do I give someone else owner status of a channel? Answer: Give the user the channel password and they type /cs id #channel password 17. How do I check the information of a channel? Answer: Type /cs info #channel 18. How do I change the description of a channel? Answer: To change the description of a channel type /cs set #channel desc description 19. How do I change my nick password? Another FAQ My nick is registered but i still get kick and banned from the channel? try /ns id password or if u recently lost connection. /ns ghost yournick password /nick yournick /ns id password |

ty mark also /ns recover nick passhere works to. If you have any problems just ask about irc, swiftirc commands are a bit different to normaly server as they change recently a lot of stuff to attempt to make it safer, like the reason to type your password type to registering.
